Design-Build

Design-Build is a project management process that integrates the design and construction phases of your project under a sole source provider.  The design and construction teams will work together through-out all phases of your project.

Our process offers you many advantages:
  • You have one contact facilitating all aspects of the project for you
  • Your design will be completed by a proven architect at very competitive prices
  • Our construction team reviews the design throughout the design phase and offers “value engineering” suggestions.  This prevents a “run-a-way” design that may be stunning but is not buildable within your budget.
  • You will be provided an accurate Budgetary Estimate following completion of the conceptual design plans.   This helps you evaluate the financial feasibility of the project and requested options before investing in the final Construction Drawings.
  • The construction team’s involvement during the design phase ensures they have an exact understanding of your project desires.  They will not be guessing what you want based on someone else’s plans.
  • An established relationship between the architect and contractor to expedite implementation of constructability improvements or problem resolutions during the construction phase.
  • Shorter total project duration.  Integration of the final design, project costing, and permitting phases expedites the start of construction by 1 – 2 months.
Design-Build projects have a higher likelihood of meeting your expectations within your budget in a timely manner.  We have seen too many potential clients’ dream projects die when no builder was able to construct the plans drawn by their independently hired architect within their budget.  It is sad to watch someone’s dream crushed and hard earned money squandered because the design did not consider their budget.
